Baby found on Edinburgh park bench has been named Charlotte after the police officer who took her to hospital
DOCTORS say newborn baby Charlotte is doing well following a night in
hospital. She was discovered by a passer-by in Wester Hailes yesterday
afternoon.
Newborn Charlotte is said to be doing well after being found by a passer-by in Hailesland Park in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh, at about 12.55pm yesterday.
There was no sign of the baby's mother in the area and police are checking CCTV in an attempt to trace her. Medics advised she will require urgent medical attention.
Charlotte is being cared for at Simpson's Centre for Reproductive Health in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
